Fine Art
I've always been inspired by the photography of George Hurrell. He was a master at controlling light.
Ironically, when I first started shooting in his style, I didn't know that I was copying him. I even thought that the style that I was working on was orginal... until I walked into a museum and saw a gallery of his photos.
The point is that I never fell out of love with that style. Years later, a photographer that I truly admire told me that I'm really great at controlling light. That is the second best compliment that I've ever been given.
My favorite compliment came when a client told me that I was "their" photographer, and that they wouldn't let anyone else take their headshot.
